Why did I sign up?
I have enjoyed card making and paper crafting for many years. As a stay at home mum with three children, I wanted to have the chance to do something different from just being a mum and share my enjoyment of crafting with others while make some money to pay for my own craft supplies. In August 2012. I signed up as a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator. I started with a monthly class with three people that I knew who liked stamping and were keen to come to a class.
Since I started my classes when I joined up, a lot has changed. I have met many new people, taught a variety of classes and I have grown and learned along the way. Not only is it the people I have met through my classes that I appreciate, but also the friendships that I have made with other Demonstrators.
When I started out, I never knew where becoming a Demonstrator would lead to. It started with me teaching a class once a month as a way for me to purchase my own supplies. Now that all of my children are at school it become a business, along side other work that I do, teaching piano and working in a school library. Now that it has become a business, I teach more classes and have a team. My craft supplies have hugely grown at no expense to the family budget and it is also a way that I can contribute to the family income as well as having fun at the same time.
