Here are the final two projects from the Auckland November Christmas Extravaganza 2019. One card features the Northern Lights technique and the other is an easel card using the Snow Front stamp set.
Northern Lights Technique Card
The silver and blue colours on this card makes it quite striking and a change from the traditional red and green Christmas colours. Balmy Blue and Purple Posy ink are used to create the streaks of the Northern Lights. The card is then sponged around the edge in Night of Navy ink.
The Christmas trees have been stamped with the Perfectly Plaid stamp set and cut out with the coordinating Pine Tree punch.
Easel Card with the Snow Front Stamp Set
The Snow Front stamp set creates a lovely watercolour effect for this card. The cardstock colours are Smokey Slate and Seaside Spray. The image is stamped onto Shimmery White cardstock, so it has that slight sparkle to it.
The background has been embossed with the Stylish Scrolls embossing folder. The Delicata Silver ink pad is then gently patted over the top of the embossed piece to give it a silver shimmer. The Real Red Cotton ribbon adds nice contrast to the card.
