At the moment I am making a lot of coordinating birthday cards and gift boxes and here is another one, this time for a young boy. It features the Lego stamp from the Boys Will Be Boys Stamp Set, which is one of the retiring stamp sets. It is available in wood and clear mount and it is currently on special.
Here is the coordinating card and self-closing gift box.
To make and decorate the box, I made my own DSP (Designer Series Paper) by stamping the Lego stamp on a piece of Whisper White cardstock. I coloured in the Lego blocks with Stampin’ Markers. The colours I used are Daffodil Delights, Garden Green, Pacific Point and Real Red.
The sentiment stamp I used on the gift box is the Tag Talk Stamp Set. This is available in wood or clear mount. This is also another retiring stamp set. I use this one a lot, especially on gift boxes, so I think I will be hanging onto my set for a while. It also coordinates with the Label Bracket Punch. This punch is on special too.
I made the Self Closing Gift Box with the Simply Scored Scoring Tool and I rounded the corners of the box with the Curvy Corner Trio Punch. This wonderful punch is also retiring. If you have been wondering about purchasing it, I suggest you get it now before it is gone for good.
