Celebrate Today With Balloons

By | 23 February 2015

This week’s featured stamp set is Celebrate Today which is a photopolymer stamp set.  The photopolymer makes knowing where you are stamping on your card very easy as you can see through the stamps and see exactly where you are placing them.  This stamp set also coordinates with the Balloon Framelit Dies.  I have used it to cut out one of the balloons on my card.

Here is the card made using the Note Cards.

Here is the card stepped up a little. It is a little bigger as I have made is using a standard A5 sized card and added some matting to it.

Here is another card I made using this stamp set that I taught in January at my Kids’ Holiday Class.  It features a balloon that stands out from the card.

Tips with Photopolymer stamps:

  • When you first get your photopolymer stamps, rinse them in water to remove any factory residue off and then gently dry them.  This is particularly important to do if you are using photopolymer stamps and you find you are not getting an even coverage of ink on your stamped image, especially for something like the large balloon.
  • If you still don’t get a good clear stamped image, try putting a piercing mat underneath the cardstock when you are stamping.

Remember to come back tomorrow to see what other creations can be made with this stamp set.
