Frame A Sentiment With Same Sized Punch – Thursday’s Tip

By | 10 February 2022

Today I am going to share how to frame a sentiment with the same sized punch so the sentiment can stand out more. Perhaps you have stamped your sentiment on Basic White cardstock and it gets lost on the front of the card. If you add some coloured cardstock behind it, it will stand out more.

Here are step by step photos showing you what to do. I have used the Label Me Fancy Punch

How to frame a sentiment with the same sized punch:

  1. Whatever label style punch you use to cut out your sentiment, cut out one more with coloured cardstock.

2. Cut the coloured piece of cardstock in half longways with Paper Snips.

3. Adhere it to the back of the sentiment so that one piece is showing slightly above the stamped sentiment and the other one is just below it.

4. There will be a gap in the middle on the back, but no one will see it.

5. Adhere this onto your card, ideally with Dimensionals.

Variation

  1. Whatever label style punch you use to cut out your sentiment, cut out one more with coloured cardstock. This time cut the coloured piece of cardstock down the middle.

2. Adhere here it to each side.

3. There will be a gap down the middle on the back, but no one will see it.

If you want to get really fancy and have coloured cardstock all the way around, you could try both these methods on the one sentiment!

I hope you have learned how to frame a sentiment with the same label punch as the stamped out sentiment. Why not give it a go with a punch you have?
