How to achieve different colour variations with the Lotus Blossoms stamp set

By | 5 February 2015

Here are some different purple colour combinations using the Lotus Blossom stamp set which is available for free until 31st March with a $110 purchase of products of your choice through the Sale-A-Bration promotion.

The colours I have used include Wisteria Wonder, Perfect Plum and Elegant Eggplant. Sometimes I have just used two of these colours.  To create a variation in colour with one ink pad, I have stamped it off first to create a lighter colour and then the next time just stamped the same colour straight from the same ink pad.

The darker to lighter flowers pictured at the top show stamping in the order as guided in the stamp set, using stamp one, then stamp two and finally stamp three.

I have also shown the opposite way of stamping.  For this I used the biggest stamp first (number three stamp), in the lightest colour (or stamped off), then stamped the number two stamp, and finally the third smallest stamp in the darkest colour.

You can see from the images above, that even with using the same three colour combinations, but doing them in the opposite order, it can achieve a variation in the colour.
