Lucky Stars Embossing Folder Stamping Technique

By | 14 October 2014

Today’s post features a card that I made for our team training event last Saturday.  One of the many things I enjoy about being a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator is being part of a wider family of demonstrators and the support and fun that brings.

Here is the card I made:

To make this card I brayered Lost Lagoon ink onto the front of the Lucky Stars Embossing Folder and then put my piece of Whisper White card on to the ink, closed the embossing folder and put it through my Big Shot.  Sometimes it is good to roll it through the Big Shot a couple of times to give the ink a good chance to ink the card.   This created the colour on the background and the embossed stars stayed white and popped out.  This “Embossing Folder Stamping” technique is simple and easy to do and is quite effective.  I then completed the rest of my card by adding some trees from the Festival of Trees stamp set which were cut out with the coordinating Tree punch.  The finishing touches were adding a greeting and a bow made from the Gold Metallic Ribbon adhered with a Glue Dot.

I hope you enjoyed this card and I encourage you to give this technique a go.
