Monochromatic Card Verses an Accent Colour

By | 15 April 2015

Today’s cards feature this week’s featured stamp set, Petal Potpourri.  I was planning to go for a monochromatic look, but I wasn’t sure if it would quite work, so I decided to make two cards, one monochromatic and the other with an accent colour.  I hope you can let me know which you prefer or your thoughts on both.

Here is the first card I made:

I also couldn’t quite decide if it needed something in the middle of the flower, like a button, so here is the same card, just with a button added. Please let me know which one you prefer.

The same card as above but with a button added to the flower.

For the second card I have used Blackberry Bliss as my accent colour.

Both of today’s cards used Baked Brown Sugar, which is one of the retiring colours on 2nd June.  If you like this colour, stock up now of card, ribbon, twine, ink, ink refill etc, before stocks runs out.

Please leave a comment and let me know if you think the monochromatic card looks best with or without the button, and if you prefer the monochromatic version, or the one with the Blackberry Bliss accent colour.

I look forward to reading your comments.
