Monochromatic Dragonfly Card With Garden Wishes Dies

By | 16 March 2021

This Monochromatic Dragonfly Card features the Dandy Garden Suite and was one of the cards that I made at Stamp Camp in Rotorua last month. On the first evening of Stamp Camp, Sylvia Patterson taught us how to make this card.

Monochromatic Dragonfly Card

This card contains the Dragonfly Garden stamp set and coordinating Dragonflies punch along with Garden Wishes dies. The Bermuda Bay Designer Series Paper [DSP] was the Oh So Ombre paper that was one of the free gifts during Sale-A-Bration earlier in the year. Although this paper is no longer available, there are lots of wonderful monochromatic papers in the coordinating Dandy Garden DSP too.

The colours of this monochromatic dragonfly card are predominantly Bermuda Bay, with a little Basic Black and Basic White. The rectangle shapes which the die cut pieces and the dragonfly are adhered to have been cut out with the Postage Stamp punch. Although it can’t really be seen, they have been adhered to a piece of Basic Black cardstock to give them more stability.

The dragonfly was stamped and punched from a piece of Basic White cardstock. The wings were lightly stamped with Bermuda Bay ink to colour them in. A second dragonfly was then stamped with StazOn ink onto Vellum and then punched out. Only the body part of the Vellum dragonfly was adhered to the first one so that the wings could be lifted up. The black and white twine, the small cute Ladybug Trinket, and the Matte Black Dots, also added to the card.
