My Top Five Occasions Catalogue Stamp Sets

By | 8 March 2016

The Occasions Catalogue has been here for over two months, so I thought I would share with you what my favourite five stamp sets are.  They are in no particular order – just as they appear in the catalogue.

Party Wishes – page 5

Available in wood and clear mount.

This is a very versatile stamp set.  It is great for birthday cards for people of all ages.  I love the colours used in the catalogue that coordinate with the It’s My Party Designer Series Paper Stack, but you could create a card with any colour combination.  Just choose the favourite colours of the person you are making the card for!   The little Party Punch Pack coorindates with it so well.  It can be bought with the stamp set as a bundle in wood or clear mount – with 15% discount, compliments it so well too.  This was one of the first stamp sets from the Occasions catalogue that I bought, along with the punch pack!

Number of  Years – page 11

Available in Photopolymer

These large numbers are great for creating special cards, Project Life or scrapbook pages.  They can be used to celebrate an age or anniversary, and they are a large feature of the card or page.

You can even create a beautiful card which has no numbers on it using the two-step stamping of the flowery plant stamp that is part of this stamp set, as I did in this card here.

If you are using the numbers, then the Large Numbers Framelits Dies make cutting out the stamped numbers so much easier!  Buy them both as a bundle and you save 15%!

Rose Wonder – page 18

Available in Photopolymer

This is a beautiful, large flower which can be the focal point of your card. I also love the sentiments, verses and scriptures that are part of this stamp set, perfect for many different occasions.  There is also a lot you can do with the  Rose Garden Framelits Die that coordinates with this stamp set.  Buy both as a bundle and save 15%.

Timeless Textures – page 29

Available in wood or clear mount.

The Timeless Textures stamp set may not look very appealing on the bottom of the page in the catalogue, but if you look at the creations at the top of the page, you will see how this stamp set can create some lovely backgrounds.  Check out this swing card I made featuring the stamp set.  This stamp set would also be good for masculine cards.  The great thing about this stamp set was that I received it for free at the OnStage Demonstrator event last year in November, so you can see that there are many great perks with being a Demonstrator!

Going Global – page 39

Available in wood or clear mount.

This was the second stamp set I bought, along with the World Traveler Textured Embossing Folder and the Going Places Designer Series Paper Stack. These all coordinate so well with the Going Global stamp set.  This stamp set is great for cards, Project Life or scrapbooking pages that involve travel, as well as masculine or more neutral cards (cards without flowers and butterflies).
