Do you enjoy a little creative surprise?
This week we are doing something a little different in my Facebook and YouTube Live. We are doing a Mystery Stamping session.

If you have never tried mystery stamping before, it is a fun way to create a card step by step without seeing the final design at the beginning. I will give you the instructions as we go, and together we will build the card layer by layer.
It is always interesting to see how everyone’s card turns out slightly differently, even though we start with the same measurements.
Below is everything you will need to have prepared before we begin. Or click here to download a PDF supply list. (This has been updated since the post was originally shared. Just one measurement was changed. See below)
If you would like to craft along on the day, please prepare the following beforehand.
What You’ll Need
Card Base
– 1 piece of coloured cardstock 14.85 cm x 29.5 cm (we will score it on the day)
Designer Series Paper (patterned paper)
– 1 piece 3.5 cm x 14.3 cm (Portrait orientation) (Please note this was corrected from 4cm to 3.5cm)
– 1 piece 7 cm x 14.3 cm (Portrait orientation)
Basic White Cardstock
– 1 piece 10 cm x 14.3 cm, plus scrap for your sentiment
Main Feature (Focal Piece)
If you have layering dies, such as the Branching Out Dies, Beautifully Celebrated Dies, or Textured Notes Dies, you can use those to create your layered focal piece.
You will need:
– 1 piece of coloured cardstock approximately 8 cm x 12 cm
– 1 piece of Basic White cardstock slightly smaller to layer on top
If you do not have dies, simply cut rectangles instead:
– Coloured cardstock 7.5 cm x 10.5 cm
– Basic White cardstock 7 cm x 10 cm
For your focal piece you will also need:
– A stamped image or die cut piece – flowers, image etc. perhaps even a background stamp or some sponging
– A sentime
– Optional embellishments like gems, ribbon, etc
Basic Supplies
– Paper trimmer which cuts and scores
– Adhesive
– Scissors
– Stamp set and ink of your choice
Join me on Thursday 26th February at 1:30pm on Stamp with Angela Facebook or YouTube for our Mystery Stamping. If you can’t be there live, you can watch the recording later.
I always encourage you to use what you already have. You do not need the exact products I am using. The measurements are the key part.
I will be live on Thursday at 1.30 pm NZ time. You can join me live or watch the recording later and craft along at your own pace.
I would love to see what you create, so please share your finished card in the comments or send me a photo.
Angela
