New join experience changes have now started with Stampin’ Up!, making it simpler and more flexible for anyone thinking about becoming a demonstrator.
From 1st July 2026, Stampin’ Up! introduced a new way to join. I think this is a really positive change, especially for those who may have felt a little unsure about choosing everything for a Starter Kit right at the beginning.
Instead of needing to select products during the sign-up process, new demonstrators now pay the join fee, receive approval, and then receive a coupon code to spend on the products they would really like.

New Join Experience with More Flexibility
Previously, when someone joined Stampin’ Up!, they chose products for their Starter Kit up to a certain value. While this was a great option, it could also feel a little tricky.
You might wonder:
What should I choose first?
Do I need stamps, ink, cardstock, tools, or adhesives?
What if want I want to buy is more than the join offer?
The new join experience gives you more breathing room. Rather than trying to decide everything while joining, you can complete the joining process first and then use your coupon code once your demonstrator account has been approved.
For many people, this will feel much simpler and less rushed.

What Is Included When You Join?
In New Zealand, the cost to join Stampin’ Up! is now $210 NZD.
With this, new demonstrators receive:
- A coupon code valued at $290 NZD
- An 8-pack of current Stampin’ Up! catalogues
- Access to demonstrator benefits once approved
- The opportunity to place demonstrator orders and receive the demonstrator discount
Your first order can be more than the coupon code value if you wish. Any amount above the coupon value will still receive the demonstrator discount and count towards your quarterly minimum.
This means you can choose the products that suit you best, rather than trying to fit everything into a set Starter Kit during sign-up.
A Special Welcome for New Demonstrators
Another lovely part of this new join experience is that first-time demonstrators will also receive a special Welcome Box from Stampin’ Up! after joining.

I won’t share what is inside, as it is intended to be a surprise, but I think it is a lovely way to help new demonstrators feel welcomed into the Stampin’ Up! creative community.
For me, joining is not just about the products or the discount. It is also about encouragement, inspiration, and being part of a creative group where you can learn, share, and enjoy card making with others.
Why This Makes Joining Stampin’ Up! Easier
I really like this change because it gives people more freedom to decide what they would like to order.
Some people may already know exactly what they want. Others may need a little help choosing a good mix of products to get started. This new process allows time for that.
It also means you can think about what suits your crafting style. You might want to focus on card making basics, a favourite stamp set and coordinating products, or perhaps some tools you have had on your wish list for a while.
Why Join Stampin’ Up!?
There are several reasons people choose to join Stampin’ Up!, and they are all valid.
Some join mainly for the discount because they already enjoy using Stampin’ Up! products. Others enjoy being part of a creative community, seeing new products early, attending demonstrator events, or learning more about card making.
Some people also choose to share what they love with others, whether that is casually with friends or by building a small business over time.
If you join my team, Creative Stampers, you are welcome whether you want to be a happy shopper, a hobby demonstrator, or explore the business side. There is no pressure to do things a certain way.
A Welcoming Creative Community
Joining Stampin’ Up! is not just about buying products. It is also about becoming part of a creative community.
As part of my team, I aim to provide encouragement, practical support, and a friendly place to learn and share ideas. I know that everyone’s journey looks different, and that is okay.
You do not need to have everything figured out before you join. You can start simply and see where it takes you.
Is Now a Good Time to Join?
With this new join experience, I think it is a lovely time to consider joining Stampin’ Up!.
The process is simpler, you have more flexibility with what you order, and you can take a little more time to choose products that will work well for you.
