The other day I shared with you some note cards that I had made using the Tailored Tag Designer Series Paper. Here is the same card design but with the Painted with Love Designer Series Paper [DSP]. It gives quite a different look.
You will notice on this card that rather than adding linen thread behind the sentiment like I did on the masculine card, I have added some metallic thread. I used silver metallic thread on this card, but I have since remade this card and used gold thread. The gold thread coordinates well with the gold in the DSP.
To make the Melon Mambo cardstock edging around the Happy Birthday sentiment, I used the Tailored Tag Punch. This is the same punch I used to cut out the sentiment. So for the edging I cut the Tailored Tag Punch out of a piece of Melon Mambo cardstock. I can it in half length-ways and adhered it so it showed over the top and bottom of the sentiment. This helps the sentiment to stand out more on top of the DSP banners.
Making the same design, but with different DSP or colours can give you quite a different look, so make sure you try out this idea sometime.
Note cards are great to use as they are pre-scored and come with an envelope. They are a little smaller than a standard card size, so there is less space to fill, so it is best to keep the design simple.

Which card design do you prefer? This banner note card with the Painted with Love DSP, or the original masculine card with the True Gentleman DSP?
I love this card, Angela. Simple, yet elegant and the DSP adds it’s own bling.
