The Peaceful Poppies card was one of the cards that we got to make at OnStage in November. OnStage is a demonstrator only event in which we get to see and use some of the new stamp sets and other products. This card is a sneak peek featuring one of the stamp sets coming in the new 2020 Mini Catalogue. The catalogue comes out on Friday 3rd January 2020.
The red colour featured on this card is Poppy Parade. I have stamped the poppy stamp in Poppy Parade ink on to Poppy Parade cardstock. This creates a nice subtle but interesting background. The card also features some of the Peaceful Poppies Designer Series Paper.
The ribbon used on this card was actually Whisper White originally. I then used an Old Olive Stampin’ Blend to colour it. This way, you can choose whatever colour ribbon you want to either compliment or contrast your card. Old Olive is the green colour featured on the Designer Series Paper, so it compliments the card well.
The Happy Birthday sentiment is from the Peaceful Moments stamp set that it is part of the Peaceful Poppies Suite. It is a stamp set of various sentiments and includes phrases like Congratulations, Thank You, With Deepest Sympathy, Life is better with a friend like you, Thinking of you with all my heart, etc.
I also added some Peaceful Poppies Sequins to the card, which gave it some sparkle.
The Painted Poppies stamp set and other products from the 2020 Mini Catalogue are available from Friday 3rd January until 2nd June 2020.
