Poinsettia Petals Buckle Card – Auckland Extravaganza

By | 19 December 2020

The Poinsettia Petals Buckle Card is the fifth and final card from the November Extravaganza. It is a unique fold card with some beautiful, yet less traditional Christmas colours. It was taught by Jacque and Helen and the design inspired by Gail Ellis.

This final card features the Poinsettia flower and the Evergreen Forest 3D Embossing Folder which were also both in the Red Velvet Poinsettia Card. The Evergreen Forest 3D Embossing Folder also featured in the Tree Angle Christmas Card. The way each of these are used in these different cards is quite different so you can see the versatility of these products.

The Poinsettia flower has been stamped onto Shimmery White cardstock with VersaMark and then heat embossed with White Emboss Powder. It has been been water coloured with Balmy Blue and Highland Heather ink. These colours are quite different from the traditional colours, but they look very stunning. The Poinsettia flower has been adhered to the Balmy Blue Glitter Paper buckle along with other leaves and sprigs.

In the background of the card you will see the embossed Evergreen Forest 3D embossing folder.

Wow that is a stunning design, love the buckle idea. Christmas cards all done and posted,, but certainly will
give this design concept for some early January Birthday cards. Hope that will be okay to re create.
