Here are some fun, simple and effective kids cards. The card design is called a corner fold card. This was the second card that the kids got to make at the holiday programme I taught at last week.
The children had the choice of a Night of Navy or Real Red background. The accent colour on the card is Daffodil Delight.
I had a few stamp sets available for them to choose from for their stamped image. Some were current stamp sets and others were retired. The stamp sets included Little Ladybug and Wildly Happy which are both current. The robot and parachute images are from a retired stamp set called Boys Will Be Boys. After stamping, they coloured them in with coloured pencils. Usually, I would colour in my stamped images with Stampin’ Up!’s Watercolor Pencils and a Blender Pen, but I didn’t have enough for the large group of children, so they just had normal colouring pencils. They did well with colouring. When I do use Watercolor Pencils and a Blender Pen, it gives the colouring a softer look. These images were coloured in without a Blender Pen. If you would like to see how to colour with Watercolour Pencils, check out this post here.
Here are the sample cards I made:
Each card included a texture embossed strip on the front in Daffodil Delight cardstock for the sentiment to be mounted on. The stamped and coloured image was also mounted on a piece of Daffodil Delight cardstock to frame it and make it stand out.
If you missed out on seeing the other card I taught at the holiday programme, you can see it here.
Kids’ cards can be fun to make. I hope these cards inspire you to make some too!
