Here is a simple and fun Easter basket that you can make for Easter. Easter is not that far away. Watch the video at the end of this post to find out how to make them!
What do I need to make the Easter Basket?
- Designer Series Paper / Reasonably thick double sided patterned paper / Cardstock
- Trimmer. If you don’t have a trimmer, use a ruler, pencil and scoring tool to measure and score with
- Scissors
- Stapler or Glue
- Scrap cardstock to decorate the front with, plus stamps and ink if you have them
- Something to colour with – Stampin’ Blends, Stampin’ Up! Watercolor Pencils, Colouring pencils etc.
- Dimensionals (optional)
Measurements:
Metric: Designer Series Paper / Patterned Paper / Cardstock 15cm x 15cm, scored at 5cm and 7cm, plus a piece 2.5cm x 15cm
Imperial: Designer Series Paper / Patterned Paper / Cardstock 6” x 6”, scored at 2” and 4”, plus a piece 1” x 6”
The punches I used to decorate the scrap cardstock for the front were a 2” Circle punch for the white circle and a 2¼” Circle punch for the coloured circle behind it.
I don’t have a specific Easter stamp set, although I wish I had purchased the Hello Easter cling stamp set, as shown below. The chick and rabbit would have looked great on these baskets!
Instead, I used the rabbits from the Wildly Happy stamp set.
The three Easter baskets featured above use three of the 2018-2020 In Colors. These In Colors will be retiring in early June 2020. The three colours I used were Grapefruit Grove, Blueberry Bushel and Lovely Lipstick.
Here are all five 2018-2020 In Colors. These include Blueberry Bushel, Call Me Clover, Grapefruit Grove, Lovely Lipstick and Pineapple Punch.
If you have any of the 2018-2020 In Color ink pads and you don’t have any of the ink refills yet, I would strongly advise you to purchase them soon. That way, you will have the ink refills to reink your ink pad, even after the colours are no longer available for purchase. They are five lovely bright colours. I think my favourite is Blueberry Bushel. Which is your favourite?
