A snow globe shaker dome card has dimension and also a wow factor. I am sure any recipient would be very pleased to receive a lovely card like this. Stampin’ Up’s globe shaker domes and the snowflake sequins, along with the Snow Globe Scenes dies and coordinating stamp set, makes it a relativity easy card to create too. This is the snow globe shaker dome card that I taught at my class on Thursday.
The dies makes cutting out the hole for the snow globe nice and easy. The dies that come with the set also have other dies to help you create a lovely scene inside the globe. For this snow globe I used the church and tree dies. I had hoped to add some puff paint to the trees, but realised when my order came that I had forgotten to order it! Instead, I sponged White Craft ink on my trees to add the snow to them. Here is a close up of the snow globe. The Gold Foil paper behind the church really adds to the image too!
The snowflake sequins inside the globe make it a lovely shaker card. I then made another card, but this time I added some glitter to the globe as well. I thought it looked great! You can see it below.
I love the intricate design created from the die to make the snow globe base. I have used Silver Foil paper for this and also framed my sentiment with it too. It is quite a long sentiment which didn’t fit any of my punches, so instead I cut it out with a banner die from the Lakeside dies.
The background of the card is embossed with the Swirls & Curls embossing folder onto Seaside Spray cardstock. This In Color is one of my new favourite colours to use in my crafting.
The snow globe shaker dome card is fun to make, so why not give it a go too?
