Thursday’s Tip: How To Use The Extra Thick Dynamic Embossing Folder In Your Big Shot

By | 9 March 2017

A great way to add texture to your card is by using an embossing folder and you can give an even deeper texture with a dynamic embossing folder.   The new Hexagon Dynamics Textured Impressions Embossing Folder is one of these extra thick embossing folders which I have used on today’s card.  I also have a video to share with you on how to use this embossing folder in your Big Shot.

I made some note cards using the Hexagon Dynamics Textured Impressions Embossing Folder with my Big Shot as well as one of the Sale-A-Bration stamp sets, Avant Garden.

Here are two cards made with the Hexagon Dynamics Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.  There is a subtle difference between these two cards.  See if you can see the subtle difference?

Did you notice the difference?  If not, look more towards the outside of the card.  I will let you know the difference towards the end of the post.

And here is a third card, with another difference.  Maybe more noticeable?  What do you think?

With a sponged edge and metallic thread

This card was cased from BJ Peters, but as you do with casing, I changed it a little.

Ink: Daffodil Delight, Garden Green, Real Red,

Paper & Cardstock: Daffodil Delight, Wild Wasabi, Real Red, Whisper White

Here is a video on how to use a Dynamic Textured Embossing Folder in your Big Shot:

Did you figure out the difference between the two note cards above?  The one on the left had sponging around the outside edge of the note card and on the edge of the embossed Daffodil Delight cardstock too.  The one on the right didn’t.

How about the next card featured. Did you work out what was different about that one?  It had some gold metallic thread which you could see around the edge of the stamped circle image.

Overall which is your favourite card?  Please comment and let me know.

I hope you have enjoyed today’s post, the cards featured and the video.  You would have been able to see benefits of adding some texture to you cards with a dynamic embossing folder and also how easy it is to do!  I hope you will give it ago too!
