Tips When Using the Stamparatus Magnets – Thursday’s Tip

By | 11 February 2021

The Stamparatus Magnets are used with the Stamparatus and today I will share some tips on how to use them so they don’t break!

First, you may be wondering, what is a Stamparatus? Well it is an amazing tool for all stampers. It helps you perfectly align stamp images, stamp multiples of the same project quickly and precisely, and get complete ink coverage.

The Stamparatus Magnets are used to hold your cardstock in place on the Stamparatus. They are rare earth magnets and so very strong and also brittle by nature. To prevent chipping, cracking, or breakage, do not drop magnets or let them snap together.

Here are some tips on how to use the magnets so they don’t get broken!

Tips When Using The Stamparatus Magnets:

  • Not all projects need two magnets. Often you only need to use just one.
  • The base of the Stamparatus tool has a place to store each of the magnets. When the magnets are not being use, either store them both in the magnet holders underneath, or one on the top and one underneath.
  • If you do use two magnets, make sure you keep them separated. Place one at a time and don’t put both of them in your hand at once.
  • Wrap washi tape around each magnet and leave a tab so you can easily lift them up.
  • If both magnets are on the Stamparatus, they will not pull together. The magnetic attraction to the base is stronger than the attraction to to each other.
  • Don’t place your magnets on your table. This is when they are likely to snap together and break! (Check out the video below and see!)
  • If the magnets do become stuck together, just slide one away from the other
