Today I am sharing with you how to use Embossing Paste with Decorative Masks. Embossing Paste creates a wonderful textured background. You can keep it white to have a lovely white background or colour the Embossing Paste in any colour you choose! If you use Shimmery White Embossing Paste, then it will have a sparkle to it too!
To create the background I placed the Decorative Mask over the cardstock and taped it down. I then got some Embossing Paste out of the container with my Palette Knife and carefully spread it over the Decorative Mask. You will need to give it an even layer and remove the excess. Try not to leave the jar of Embossing Paste open for too long as it dries quickly. When you do put the lid on, make sure it is tight.
Once you have finished spreading the Embossing Paste over the Decorative Mask, carefully remove the mask and wash it and the Palette Knife straight away in warm soapy water. If you leave them out for too long, the paste will set on them.
Set aside your piece of cardstock with the Embossing Paste and let it dry. It won’t take too long to dry. Depending on the weather, you may find it has dried after a few minutes, but the longer you leave it the better.
