Black & White Hearts Wedding Card – Guest Blogger

By | 22 September 2020

Today’s hearts wedding card has been created by guest blogger Jan Morris. It looks stunning in black and white.

The white bordered piece on the front of the card is from the Ornate Layers die set. It creates a lovely border.

The hearts were actually hand cut by Jan, but if you are like me and like to use dies, the Stitched Be Mine dies have some heart shapes in the set. The black slightly larger heart really frames it nicely and helps it stand out on the white background.

The hearts have been embossed. The white one with the Stylish Scroll and the black part of the other one with the Oh My Stars embossing folders. These have both now retired, but there are lots of other embossing folder that could be used for a similar type of card.

The Pearls on the white heart for the woman and the coloured Rhinestones for the man’s heart really finish it off. Stampin’ Blends are a great way to colour Pearls and Rhinestones.

The corners of the card has been rounded with the Envelope Punch Board. You could also use the Detailed Trio Punch for this.

The inside of the card also has a lovely bordered piece cut out from the Ornate Layers dies, but it is a different one to the one on the front.
