Here are two lovely cards featuring the dry embossing technique and the Dainty Delights bundle. The main colours featured in these cards are Fresh Freesia and Orchid Oasis.

The dry embossing technique is when you put a piece of cardstock or a similar material into a embossing folder and press it together firmly with an embossing machine like the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine. Then, when you remove it from the folder, you end up with a lovely textured piece of cardstock.

Both these cards feature the dry embossing technique in the middle background panel. The card on the left has a piece of Fresh Freesia cardstock dry embossed with the Cane Weave 3D embossing folder. The card on the right has a piece of vellum dry embossed with the Stripes 3D embossing folder. Each embossed piece is then adhered to a piece of Orchid Oasis cardstock. You need to be careful when adhering vellum to cardstock. You can see through vellum, so you don’t want the adhesive to be seen. In my video below, I share some tips on how to adhere vellum so that you don’t see the adhesive.

For the main feature of the card, I stamped the Dainty Delights image onto Very Vanilla cardstock and coloured it with Fresh Freesia and Old Olive Stampin’ Blends. I used Very Vanilla cardstock rather than Basic White, because it gives a softer look.

The Happy Birthday sentiment is from the Something Fancy stamp set. I stamped it in Orchid Oasis ink and then cut it out with the coordinating die.
