The Double Vision card is a very popular cardmaking technique at the moment, and it is easy to see why. It is a great way to show off beautiful Designer Series Paper while adding extra interest and dimension to your card.

I created this Double Vision card for my Monthly Technique & Fun Fold Class in May. For this version, I used the stunning Scenic Coast Designer Series Paper. This paper has such a beautiful scene and a subtle shimmer, which makes it perfect for this style of card.
For the card base, I used Blueberry Bushel, with a Strawberry Slush mat behind the Designer Series Paper. After trying a few different panel sizes, I decided that ½” or 1.3 cm strips worked well for this design.
Some of the panels are adhered flat, while others are raised with Stampin’ Dimensionals. This gives the card that “double vision” effect and adds lovely depth to the scene.
I stamped the boats from the Sunset Coast Stamp Set using StāzOn ink, as I was stamping onto the Designer Series Paper. You could also use the new Black Hybrid Ink.
To finish the card, I added a sentiment on a 1¾” circle, with another circle layered behind it to help it stand out from the background.
I love how this card makes the Designer Series Paper the main feature. The Scenic Coast paper really does the hard work, and the Double Vision technique gives it a fresh and interesting look.
